Leaving Le Macinaie Lodge, we cover a short distance by road as far as the "Madonna di Camicione" where we get onto the Mount Amiata Ring Road. We reach the "Pozza di Catana" and then the "Arcu" shelter. There is about one kilometre of paved road and then at "Aia dei Venti" we get back onto a dirt road with an exciting downhill slope passing through Poggio Trauzzolo until we arrive at the Aiuole.After a few hundred metres of paved road we start the climb towards the "Gompa" of the Tibetan Community of Merigar. Following the dirt road we come down to the corner of Monte Labbro to start the gentle uphill climb that leads to the FaunisticPark. 

After our visit we return to the Lodge by bus or (for those who still have the energy) by mountain bike along the same route or taking possible shortcuts to save a bit of breath.
