Sorano

Sorano is a small fascinating town that founds not far from Pitigliano. It's another of the city of the Etruscan tuff zone dominated by the Orsini fortress. Visiting Sorano You will feel as if you have walked back in time. The large sandy coloured blocks are testaments to the local activity.  As you drive up to the town you will note that the roads are literally cut out of rock - high walls of tufo are testament to the use of this volcanic rock.
